| Kerta Gosa |
Kerta
Gosa is located in Semarapura town at the heart of Klungkung regency,
only 1 hour from Denpasar city. The entire clusters area was originally
named Taman Gili and Kerta Gosa was the name given to two Bale
buildings, Bale Kerta Gosa and Bale Kambang. Somehow, Kerta Gosa is more
famous than Taman Gili. The uniqueness of Kerta Gosa can be recognized
from ornamented ceiling illustrating popular artwork conveying good
against the evil painted with the 2-dimension puppet style that the
Kamasan village in Klungkung regency is renowned for. As the worthy
heritage of Semarapura ancient kingdom, Kerta Gosa and Bale Kembang are
now utilized as a sacred place for some Hinduism ceremonies such. As
historical complex, here the visitors can also find the ancient and
history items such as some pictures of Klungkung King Family and its
kinfolk.

Pura
Goa Lawah or Goa Lawah Temple is one of the most prominent and
historical temples in Bali named “Dang Kahyangan”, situated at Dawan
district, 9 kilometers from Klungkung regency. Inside the temple you
will discover a cave where thousands of bats are living and occupying
the entire spot. Further, a giant dragon-snake is said living in the
cave as well. Goa Lawah temple was constructed by Empu Kunturan in 1006
Caka years. The original name was “Giha Lawah”, meaning the cave.
Balinese or worshippers often come here to worship through the Balinese
ceremonies. Out of the cave you will be displayed the load of salt
makers along the beach in front of the blue ocean temple.

Tenganan
Village is located in Manggis district, only 5 kilometers from the main
road of Candidasa. Here, the visitors can find genuine traditional
Balinese environment. Some of notable events are also conducted
periodically such as ceremony dances and gladiator performance. The
local people of Tenganan are famous for their thoughtful skills in
making ‘double ikat’ cloth and tied woven named “Gringsing” with
applying the unique weaving techniques. The houses in Tenganan Village
are built in rows, one-of-a-kind, and they seem like related one to
another. In front of the house, the native display the homemade
products. What distinguishes this village with the other places is the
existence of “Mekare-kare”, a Balinese ritual performing warrior dance
of young teenagers. The ritual is aimed as indication that a young man
has passed the requirements to be part of the village.

Lunch
at Candidasa is awesome, in the midst of beautiful surroundings while
enjoying the beautiful landscape, favorable marine activities such as
sailing and diving. Candidasa is a small and serene village on the
northeastern coast of Bali, located 50 kilometers from Denpasar. In the
midway between Amlapura and Denpasar you will find this tranquil
village, a tranquil coastal to see the best view of Lombok Strait. If
you see a large pond near the main road, then you have arrived at
Candidasa village. From here, you can easily reach the other tourist
spots such as Besakih Mother Temple, Tenganan Village, and Lombok
Strait. Since the village is relative quiet, here your senses will be
ultimately relaxed.

| Puri Karangasem |
In
the heart of Amlapura town, only 78 kilometers from Denpasar city, the
Puri Karangasem gracefully stands. This Grand Palace was built by the
first king of Karangasem by the end of the 19th century. The key
attraction of the Grand Palace is the unique architectures blending
three different styles, Balinese, Chinese, and European. The Balinese
style is reflected through the reliefs on the doorway gates, the Hindu
statue, and on the wall of building. The European style effect can be
captured through the entire design of the major building and huge
terrace named “maskerdam”. Meanwhile, the Chinese architecture can be
seen from the carving motifs on the door, windowpane, and the decorative
adornment in the whole building. Another feature that will grab your
attention is the main entry gates towering about 25 meters in height
carved from the red brick-stones ornamented with puppet adornment.

| Taman Sukasada Ujung |
Widely
renowned as Sukasada Park, the Ujung Recreational Park was built in the
south part of Karangasem regency and can be reached from Denpasar by
taking the highway of Ida Bagus Matra’s Street and then continued by
going to the east part of Bali until you arrive at Karangasem city
center. At the first time, this recreational part was built in 1921 by
the King of Karangasem as the place for rest and relaxation for the
noble family members, or foreign official guests. Taman Sukasada Ujung
is shaped beautifully and surrounded by large fish pond. This park has
strategic position in the coastal side, south part of Karangasem town
and we can find many sources of wellspring there. At the moment, the
Taman Sukasada Ujung can be considered as symbol of tourist destinations
in east part of Bali. This can be seen from the load of visitors both
from local and international.
